Flat-die Pellet Mill Introduction
A Flat-die Pellet Mill is a mechanical device that presses powdered raw materials into pellets. It is widely used in feed, fertilizer, biomass energy and other fields. Through the synergistic effect of the mold and the pressing wheel, materials with a moisture content of 12%-25% can be processed into high-density pellets, significantly improving storage and transportation efficiency. Compared with the ring die pellet machine, the Flat-die Pellet Mills has the characteristics of compact structure and low energy consumption.

Detailed explanation of working principle of Flat-die Pellet Mill
After the material enters the extrusion bin from the feed port, the rotating press roller forces the raw material into the flat die hole. At a friction temperature of 60-100℃, lignin softens to form a natural binder, which is finally extruded into cylindrical particles. The entire pressing process does not require the addition of chemical adhesives, which meets environmental protection requirements.
Operation and use specifications
Preparation before use:
Check the mold gap (recommended 0.1-0.3mm)
New machine needs to be run-in: first run it with bran for 30 minutes
Normal operation stage:
Maintain uniform feed speed
Observe the fluctuation of the ammeter (not exceeding 10% of the rated value)
Clean the mold hole regularly (clean once every 8 hours)
Stop maintenance:
Apply anti-rust oil after the equipment cools down
Check the tightness of the transmission belt
Record the wear of wearing parts
